Login Methods

Login Methods

Login methods determine which authentication method users will use to access the Robosme environment.

There are two different login management options: Robosme and Custom login.

Mentor Note

At this point, Robosme becomes a platform, not just software.

When Should I Change It?

  • When transitioning to a corporate environment
  • When custom login or SSO usage is planned
  • When security policies are updated
  • When the number of users and access diversity increases

Robosme Login

This is Robosme's standard login method.

  • Login with email and password is available
  • Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn accounts support SSO (Single Sign-On)
  • SSO options can be disabled by the account manager if desired

This method offers quick setup and minimum integration requirements.

Password Settings

Password settings ensure that user passwords are strong, non-repeatable and controlled.

  • Minimum password length is set between 8 – 32 characters
  • Users cannot reuse a specified number of old passwords
  • Password repetition is prevented with duplicate password checking
  • Account can be locked when the number of failed login attempts is exceeded
  • Password renewal can be mandated at specific intervals with password change period
  • Password change reminder period ensures users are notified in time

Tip

When a value of 0 is defined for a setting, the related security control is disabled.

Custom Login

Custom login is used for integration with corporate authentication systems.

  • Login can be done through Active Directory or custom services
  • Login, password reset, and "forgot password" processes are managed by external systems instead of Robosme
  • Required service endpoints are defined through system settings

This structure is preferred for full compliance with internal security policies.
