Teams

Teams are one of the fundamental structures used in Robosme to organize users and establish authorization structures. Users are grouped through teams and access rules are built on this structure.

In Robosme, the team structure works hierarchically.

Team Structure and Hierarchy

  • Teams are in hierarchical order
  • All teams except the Base Team must be linked to a parent team
  • When the application is installed, the Base Team is automatically created

Thanks to this structure, organizational relationships and access rules can be clearly defined.

What are teams used for?

Teams are used for:

  • Grouping users
  • Creating authorization scenarios
  • Reflecting organizational structure into the system

Robosme comes with some sample teams upon installation. You can create new teams or make changes to existing teams as needed.

Sample Teams:

  • Customer Service
  • Customer Experience
  • Sales Team
  • Marketing
  • Support
  • Senior Management
  • Digital Marketing

Team-Based Authorization

Teams are one of the cornerstones of the role structure.

With team-based authorization:

  • Users can view or update only the records they created
  • Or records in the team they belong to or in the team hierarchy

can be enabled.

Thanks to the hierarchical team structure, authorization scenarios can be created where parent teams can access child teams' records.

Teams and Communication

Teams are not just an authorization tool. They can also be thought of as:

  • A community
  • A mail group

They can also be used for bringing messages sent to shared email addresses into the system and managing them through the relevant team.

Team – User Relationship

  • When you enter the details of a team, users linked to that team can be viewed
  • New users can be added to the team from the team screen
  • Related teams can also be managed in user record details

A user can be linked to multiple teams.

Tip

When building the team structure, think not only about today but also about growth. A well-established hierarchy will significantly facilitate authorization and reporting processes in the future.
